Jayne Flanagan became President and Majority owner of Michiana Brick & Building Supply in 2011. An RN by degree, becoming majority owner and embarking upon an adventure in the brick and block business was a unique learning experience complete with incredible challenges.
She attended Brick school, mixed mortar, built a brick walls, learned more about concrete block and walls and pavers. Under Jayne's leadership, Michiana Brick has grown in the hardscape market while consistently providing impeccable customer service and quality, designer products. She enjoys the challenge of watching Michiana Brick grow and takes pride in the finished projects of her customers. In 2013, Michiana Brick Home Center was opened in Granger. This solidified a partnership with Ginger Valley Garden Center as well as gave the public an outdoor shopping arena. Jayne enjoys reaching beyond her comfort zone and building alliances with quality manufacturers, other distributors and contractors. She was responsible for bringing the Techo-Bloc brand to Indiana, as it's first distributor. Her passion for building relationships is as important to her as "turning backyard dreams into realities".

Jennifer Martell Brown is Vice President of Martell Electric in South Bend, IN. She is a 2002 Saint Mary's College graduate that received her MBA from the University of Notre Dame in 2008. She and her husband, Clint, reside in Granger with their two children.
Martell Electric is a medium sized electrical contracting company that services customers in Indiana and Michigan. The company specializes in electrical construction, infrastructure and telecommunication projects. Jennifer was the company's first full time employee in 2003, and has continued on in various roles since that time. In 2014, she was named Vice President; taking on additional office administration, business development, customer relations and hiring responsibilities. The company prides itself on providing innovative electrical solutions to its customers.
Martell Electric has been majority women owned since 2011, and plans to start the WBE application process this year. Jennifer takes great pride in being part of her family's business and is excited for the future.

Cindy Elliott, Owner of Fanio Services, a trucking company, located in North Liberty, Indiana. Cindy grew up in NE Ohio, the second of seven children. Having worked in factories most of her life, she is self taught and mastered her skills through ambition and on the job training.
She enjoys her beautiful daughter and 4 grandchildren as well as cooking.
Cindy loves giving back to the community and helping other reach their potential.

Amy McGuire is serving as our Affiliate Membership coordinator. Amy brings over 15 years experience working in the business community and many local business contacts to the group. Her background in public relations, event planning and love of networking will be a tremendous asset to the Michiana Women in Construction. Amy has worked as an account executive at a Colorado Public Relations firm, a hotel as the Sales and Marketing Director, as a closer at a title company in California and is now home again in South Bend currently serving the St. Joseph County Bar Association as their Executive Director. Amy understands the challenges women face in male-dominated industries from her work with the bar association and looks forward to the support and education this group can provide to the members and the industry as a whole.
